The Integrated Rice Technology Park in Palakkad is being set up at the Mega Food Park in Kozhippara, Palakkad.

The total project cost: ₹ 3950.31 lakhs.

Plant Capacity

• The paddy supply to Palakkad Rice Park from the influence zone is projected at around 24,000 tonnes in a year considering 300 working days. The proposed capacity for the rice mill is 80 tonnes per day.
• For a 2-shift working of total 16 hours, the input capacity of the rice milling unit required is 5 Tonnes per Hour.

Silo Capacity

• Two flat bottom silos each with capacity of 2500 tonnes
• Two hopper bottom silos with capacity of 500 and 250 tonnes

As part of the policy to ensure maximum utilization of PSU land, the Government has decided to set up a Rice Technology Park in 5.18 acres of land in possession of Prabhuram Mills owned by Kerala State Textile Corporation. M/s KITCO has prepared a draft feasibility report at a total project cost of ₹ 66.05 Crore and this was obtained in-principal approval from the Government.
